Biography :
Ahmad Mujahid Ahmad Zaidi is currently a Professor and a Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International) at National Defence University of Malaysia. He received his B.Eng. with Honours in
Mechanical Engineering at UTHM (formerly known as KUiTTHO) and completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Specialisation in Impact and Explosion Engineering) at The University of Manchester (formerly known as UMIST). He is the former Chief Executive of International College of Automotive (ICAM), a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM (a premier conglomerate in automotive industry in Malaysia). In 2006, he has been selected to present his research on Protective Technology at the House of Commons, United Kingdom. In 2008, he has been invited as an Honorary Academic Visiting Fellow from Impact and Explosion Research Group, The University of Manchester, United Kingdom. He is an active researcher and has produced over 100 academic research papers (including journals, proceedings and technical reports). He has been invited as invited speakers and keynotes at national and international conferences. He is also currently serving as an Advisory Board for Nanotechnology Reviews which is indexed by WOS with Impact Factor 3.639 (2019). In research and innovation, his research products have won numerous prestigious awards, among them; a Gold Medal with Special Award by Bulgarian Union of Inventors at 24th Invention and New Product Exposition 2014, Pittsburgh, USA and Double Gold Medals with Special Award (Prize) by Association of Polish Inventors & Rationalizers at 62nd World Exhibition on Inventions, Research and New Technologies 2013, Brussels, Belgium. He is a Chartered Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, a former Vice President of The Chartered of Institute of Logistics and Transport Malaysia, a former Chairman of Young Professional of The Chartered of Institute of Logistics and Transport Malaysia and a former Ambassador of Young Professional of The Chartered of Institute of Logistics and Transport International for South East Asia Region. In logistics and transport, his contribution has been recognised and highly commended for International Young Achiever of the year 2014 by Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport International.
