Entering Indonesia requires a valid visa or a stay permit. 

To obtain a visa, you must have a local sponsor. The local sponsor must either be an individual, a company, or an institution that resides in Indonesia, that is relevant to your visit and will take full responsibility for your stay in Indonesia.

Visa application is now centrally managed by the Indonesian Immigration and accessible at  Online Visa Approval (imigrasi.go.id). Only the local sponsor can apply for the visa on behalf of the visitor. Details on the application is available at guide-apply-visa-en.pptx (live.com)

If the application is approved, you will receive an e-Visa by email. Please print the e-Visa prior to your departure. You do not need to submit anything to the Indonesian Embassy.
